My wife hates it, but I like to dig through other peoples garbage. Well not dig through their cans, but if they put something on the curb that looks interesting I’ll stop and take a look at it. Sometimes I’ll take it home with me.

I’ve accumulated a lot of other peoples garbage over the years. Most of it in the hopes of doing something with it some day.

Old windows to make a green house. Speakers to disassemble and reuse. Lots of computers, if someone offers me one it’s an automatic yes. If I see one getting tossed or set out to recycle I grab it. I must have 12 various computers some working, some not around the house. They will all be used for something someday.

Someone, a couple houses away has been renting a dumpster several times this past year. Coming home from a walk there looked like some good stuff in there but it was getting dark, so I said I’ll look at it tomorrow. Well tomorrow came and a truck showed up to haul it off before I could get a look inside. Oh well, maybe next time.

The second dumpster showed up and I didn’t think anything about it again until I saw some stuff near the top. I told my wife to stop and I was going to look inside. First thing I saw was a couple computer towers and a monitor, I was definitely jumping in later in the evening.

To be continued…
